The number has been hinted at a few times in the past, but in the last few months, with high yield Wrath farming methods, many more players have supposedly managed to hit it. Here are three tips for how to work toward the WoW gold cap successfully. 
1.	Get the Right Add-Ons
Step one is to find the right add-ons for your game client. You’ll need to be sure that you have add-ons that will allow you to quickly scan, analyze and utilize auction house data. For many players Auctioneer is enough, but Auctionator is increasingly becoming the add-on of choice for this. Additionally, it is recommended that you pick up Market Watcher and Postal as these two add-ons provide you with a great deal of additional functionality and data when you go into each transaction. The more data you have, the better you will be able to use what you have. 
2.	Stop Farming and Questing
Many people have been told that farming and questing are good enough ways to make gold and will work fine for anyone that needs the cash. But, think of it this way. The most gold you’ll make daily questing is 250 or 300 an hour and the most you’ll ever make farming is 750 an hour.  If you’re interested in hitting the WoW gold cap, you’ll need to farm almost 300 hours to hit that mark and the questing will pretty much never get you there. These are good methods for those that are content with low gold counts and who enjoy the activity. Everyone else needs to move on. 
3.	Work on Creative Auction House Methods
Anyone with a gold guide uses the Auction house to make gold these days. For this reason, you need to push yourself and find new and exciting ways to make gold that do not involve spending so much time just buying and selling. Learn how to transfer items between servers and factions, how to make an item go up in value through price manipulation, how to move things around carefully to control how the game operates. These are all valuable auction house skills on the road to the gold cap. 
The real key to hitting the WoW gold cap is not in farming endlessly (though that is technically possible), but in using the auction house carefully and creatively in a way that will allow you to get there faster and more efficiently.

There is a lot of talk in this day and age of the one time legendary World of Warcraft gold cap. There were players a few years ago who claimed to have hit it and no one believed them due to the low yield of most TBC farming methods. Today, there are more players who have hit the gold cap and have proof of their accomplishments – either in screens and videos or in the sheer volume of time they’ve spent in the game. 
However, the big question still remains of whether the World of Warcraft gold cap is something a normal player who doesn’t play 60 hours a week has a realistic chance of ever hitting. 
What it Takes to Hit the World of Warcraft Gold Cap
The gold cap is a big deal for many players, yet something they’ll never hit. The reason is simple. They keep farming and questing and will never get there. Consider the amount of time it would take to reach the gold cap using these old methods. It takes 300 hours to reach the gold cap while making 750 gold an hour. That’s only if you could maintain that kind of speed, and then there is the time spent on your alt selling off all that stuff. Anyone else will realistically make between 200 and 400 gold an hour at the most – which would take upwards of 800 or 900 hours to reach the cap. And that’s only if you don’t spend any of that gold. 
Strategies on Hitting the Gold Cap
So, it’s going to take a bit more to hit the World of Warcraft gold cap than just farming away. You’ll need to start using the Auction House and learning how to master the movement of items between auction houses, servers, and factions – pushing items between characters in ways that will allow you to profit on every transaction and in large sums – much larger than any other farming methods would allow.
For any player who has never before considered the prospect of hitting the gold cap, starting from scratch will result in a great deal of time spent in the auction house and out farming. There are other methods to consider in the process, but they all need to be carefully crafted and executed. If you can do that, you may stand a chance of eventually hitting the elusive gold cap in World of Warcraft.

There are a number of ways to go about World of Warcraft gold making. Players from around the world login each day to try their hand at hundreds of them, but for the top tier players, the secrets start and end with having the right add-ons for their game client. So, here are the top four add-ons for high yield gold making, using the auction house – the big money maker in this game. 
Auctionator
Auctionator is a great tool because it offers a variety of buying and selling tools that work very well, allowing you to buy in bulk and in amounts that are far more profitable and easy to control than other auction house mods. The scan feature also works far better than most others and it is consistent over time. 
Auctioneer
Auctioneer’s basic scanning features are iffy at best, but it has the best search options of any add-on allowing you to look for vendor items, resale items, and much more. Basically, any search criteria you can think of can be fit into Auctioneer and pushed to help you make a profit. The key is to know what you’re looking for and to not take the scan data here too literally due to how often it gets a little mussed up.
Market Watcher
Market Watcher is a bit redundant, but it allows you to scan for specific items in a shopping list and then to graph those values over daily, weekly, or monthly timelines, effectively getting real time market data from across your realm. It’s a powerful tool and will act wonderfully in conjunction with your other add-ons. 
Postal
This is a simple mail add-on that makes it easy to customize your mail box, getting it all out at once and accessing extra messages (beyond your first 50) much quicker. For anyone buying and selling in bulk, this is an absolute must on your add-on list. 
With these four add-ons, any player in World of Warcraft can boost their way to the top of the auction house and start making substantial sums of gold that will allow them to succeed in almost anything they put their minds to in the game. If you do not yet have these add-ons, make sure to add them to your list and start scanning often.

The World of Warcraft economy has long been reliant on three things – players going out and farming for materials, players wasting huge sums of gold on things that can never be resold or reused, and players using the Auction house to trade, buy, and sell items with each other. A stable economy has allowed the game to flourish in ways that no other MMO has in this regard. The prices are predictable, strategies are consistent and the WoW auction house is the first place most players go to make gold. 
The Secret of Using the WoW Auction House
The Auction House is all about data. The built-in interface for World of Warcraft’s auction house is more or less awful. You need to put add-ons into play that will allow you to access more data and more effectively deliver information and auctions that will work to build your gold counts. This means a lot of research, a lot of scanning, and a whole lot of trial and error. If you do it right though, you’ll eventually be able to make such substantial sums of gold that you can do pretty much anything you want in this game.
The Upper Limits of Gold Making in the WoW Auction House
How big are the upper limits of gold making? There is an artificial gold cap in the game that stops players from gaining any gold on  that character at 214,700 thousand (rounded down). That amount might seem unobtainable, but there are many players who have already done it, and some players who have done it on more than one account. Think of it this way – you could make upwards of 2.1 million gold if you maxed out your gold count on every character on your realm. And that’s just per realm. Of course, it’s going to take a LONG time to get there, but if you master the auction house and use it wisely, it is not impossible. 
For many players, the prospect of making gold in the WoW Auction House is so great that they forgo any other forms of making gold. They spend their time focusing on the methods that allow them to make more gold for less of their overall time. This is a popular strategy that, in the long term, will work far better than farming and questing, due to the higher overall yield for time investment. Keep that in mind and you’ll make far more gold in the long run than if you are out farming.

One of the most obnoxious parts of World of Warcraft is the process of making gold. Players who want to make gold in WoW often have to spend hours a day farming for it in various ways. They need to go out and farm on old instances, mining nodes, herbalism nodes, and a dozen other ways that are highly tedious after a few weeks of the same thing. Which is why many players will jump at any chance they can to make gold in WoW without farming for it so often. 
Getting to Know the Auction House
The Auction House is a very complex structure with a ton of data points to work with. To get to know it properly, you need to install add-ons like Auctioneer, Auctionator, Postal, and Market Watcher. Other add-ons like TitanPanel can be very helpful as well as it can make seeing your total gold counts and bag space easier. Generally speaking, you’ll need to be sure you have everything operational and scan the data in the auction house almost every day (or more often if you can). This data will allow you to learn how the data interacts and how to find the best auctions to buy out and resell.
How to Make Gold in WoW with Less Time Spent
The key to making more gold in WoW while spending less time doing so is to focus on auctions with high yield returns. Things like Eternals and Cobalt Ore are great, but the return is not as high as things like Crusader Orbs, Primordial Saronite, or Titansteel. These items, while very expensive, will always sell for a profit if you know when to sell them and how much to sell them for. Many players spend hours a day doing this, while others are able to login for an hour a day and make thousands of gold very quickly. 
The key to make gold in WoW is not to assume you’ll be able to do it steadily like you do with farming. You need to be able and willing to take risks and push yourself a bit harder than you do normally. The rewards will then be far greater than they would be if you flew in circles around Storm Peaks or Icecrown for hours on end. Do that and you’ll be far better off with your gold making methods for months to come.

The first few pages of HitGoldCap discuss all the stuff we already know. The other gold guides are full of farming methods that don’t work. You need add-ons that will help you master the Auction House. You need to learn how to use other resources like WoWHead.com. These are all pretty obvious statements, though it is nice to see them all covered succinctly and quickly at the beginning of a guide.
But, then T Dub dives head first into the strategies he says made him rich. And guess what, this is not just another hoax. This is the real deal and I’ve seen how it can be made so. 
The basics of the guide are simple – use the auction house to make gold by buying and selling when the market fluctuates. However, T Dub’s advanced strategies for doing so are original and well balanced in the face of the way in which most gold guides have you stumbling around with Auctioneer. 
By the time you get to the last two lessons, you’re learning techniques I’ve never seen before, upping your gold counts by far more than I originally thought was possible. They’re unique, clever, and best of all useful in almost every way. If you’re serious about making a fortune in World of Warcraft, then this is the guide to help you get there. It feels like I’ve been hearing about the gold cap for the last two years now. Some gold guide or another came out a few years back claiming to have mastered the cap and gotten there on multiple characters. At the time, players were skeptical because no one had seen it before and because Wrath was not out yet (when inflation would make it seem far more likely). 
These days, we’ve heard of more than one player dinging the cap, and have even seen posts on the official forms about it. The problem with this though is that it’s impossible to know how they hit the cap or when they did it. If you think about it, just farming on normal goods wouldn’t make it that hard to hit the cap. If you made 500 gold an hour, it would take roughly 16 days of game time to reach the cap. Yeah, that’s a lot, but it’s not impossible – roughly about the same amount of time it takes for two or three Level 80s to be leveled up. 
But, then this Hit Gold Cap guide was released a few weeks back and everyone is starting to wonder how fast you can really get to the gold cap. After all, if you can hit the gold cap in less than 6 months, why not do it? The math seems to work and if you look at the strategies in T Dub Sanders’ guide, you could theoretically get to the gold cap in about a month or so if you worked hard at it each day (which is roughly what he claims). 
So, the big question for everyone out there is this – do you need to hit the gold cap and if so, what would be the best way to get there. I’m partial to not spending over 350 hours of my life farming for Titanium and Eternals, but what do you all think?

Tracking the talk about the gold cap is hard. It’s been around for a very long time, since back in the early days of vanilla wow when a few players learned an exploit that would let them appear to have hit an artificial cap (even though their gold was really the same as always). Others data mined the formulas and found out that the math has been capped in there somehow.
No one knows why, but it appears that the artificial cap of 214,748 gold is a real thing and one that, when you hit it, will not allow your character to carry any more gold. Now, the real question then is how did anyone actually hit this cap and what can you do to do the same thing. 
The first talk of hitting the gold cap occurred back in the days of The Burning Crusade. Back then, 5,000 gold was considered quite the stash, so it’s understandable that few people would believe the hype behind having hit the gold cap. Some people even said they had done it more than once – something that was rather hard to believe.
However, in the inflation heavy days of Wrath, it has become far easier to believe that someone could have hit the gold cap, maxing out the total gold that they can carry with them at any point. After all, players can spend 20,000 gold in one sitting just for a mount or for a pair of leggings from the 3.3 patch. The cost of things these days is through the roof. By the time Cataclysm hits, who knows – Blizzard may even need to raise the gold cap to accommodate the huge chunks of cash that people seem to be able to hoard (and then spend). 
Regardless, there is a new guide out there called Hit Gold Cap that is claiming to help players hit the gold cap. It’s a very interesting idea and one I’m prone to believe due to the way the economy works these days. What do you think? The real deal or just another gold guide?

So, there’s a new gold guide on the market. It’s called Hit Gold Cap and it claims to do just that – help you hit the gold cap. The guide is far shorter than most modern gold caps, including only five short chapters or “modules” that are designed to show players how to set up their account, use their add-ons and then make over 214,000 gold in less than a few weeks.
The idea behind the guide is not surprising. If you’ve been in a big guild before with a greedy guild leader or have seen anyone that players the game 50+ hours a week, you know that it is not impossible to approach the gold cap. The surprising part is that the guide can claim to help you get there with such a succinct guide and so little information beyond the basics. 
But, the word going around is that the Hit Gold Cap guide not only works, it works really well. There are multiple strategies here that could only have come from the mind of someone who had studied or worked in economics. The ideas are very “real world” oriented, showing players how to transfer gold between multiple characters, use arbitrage to transfer wealth between characters, factions, and realms, and a dozen strategies for how to use the Auction House to great effect, making gold when others are losing it. 
Anyone out there interested in making gold without farming or questing (which is so dull these days – let’s face it), should take a look at this guide. It’s short, it’s succinct, and it apparently works quite well for those with the energy and patience to use it.

I have been a big critic of gold guides for a long time. They all claim to do the same thing – help you get as much gold as possible and yet they all use the same recycled strategies. How can you make that much gold if you are using the same methods as everyone else in the market. The crowding and overlap is substantial. Remember when you could make 1,000 gold an hour in Icecrown with Titanium mining? I do. These days, you’re lucky to come away with 500 gold and the price has doubled since Wrath was released because of the 3.2 gem additions.

This time however, I took a closer look because the guide in question wasn’t showing anyone how to farm or quest their way to major gold counts. Instead, the guide claimed to be a streamlined, step by step process to making the entire gold cap – a count of over 214,700 gold – something that I’ve only seen once before in my entire time playing this game (and that was on a guild leader). 
The gold guides these days may mention the gold cap, but none has been so brazen to claim it can get you there without hours and hours of your life devoted to farming (I estimate it would take over 400 hours to get there with normal farming methods). So, having a guide that is not too big, not too overwhelming with information and very brazen with its claims is interesting. 
And the early word is that the guide actually works quite well, showing players how to master the auction house and the market prices of multiple goods using a combination of four add—ons and new techniques that have not before been seen in gold making.

Make the images a hyperlink using the hoplink code you got from ClickBank.
